Our business opened in 2003, on Craftsman Drive in Raleigh, at the former location of Edwards Auction Gallery, carrying on a then 14-year tradition of auctions in the city of Raleigh. With 500+ live auctions behind us over the last 10+ years, we look forward to carrying on this Raleigh tradition for many more years!
The mission of Raleigh Auction & Estate Sales is to provide assistance to individuals with a need for the services of estate liquidation. Assistance may be in the form of selling goods at auction, holding tag sales, consigning at one of our local shops, or referring to someone who can better meet their needs. We strive to work with our customers to assess their needs and help them make good decisions.
For our auction sellers and buyers, we strive to provide a strong buying audience for estate and small business liquidation, as well as an interesting and fun experience for those looking for quality merchandise at a fair price. We believe in, and work hard to maintain and promote, the integrity and viability of the auction industry as a great sales channel and purchasing opportunity.
Raleigh Auction & Estate Sales (NC Firm License #7719) is a member of the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina (AANC). Owner Katherine Mitchell (NC Auctioneer License #8575) is a member of CAGA, the Certified Appraisers Guild of America. With a 20-year background in marketing, Katherine is a partner in local antique mall Antiques at Gresham Lake, and a partner in the original Hunt & Gather Fine Estate Furnishings in the Five Points area of Raleigh, as well as former owner of Thieves Market Mall, and former partner in Hunt & Gather Glenwood Avenue location. In addition, she and her colleagues have conducted 200+ estate tag sales in the Raleigh area.
